WARD & SOKOLOWSKI TOP 2006 SUPER BASS

It was a hot day for the 2006 Michigan Super Bass on Muskegon Lake with over 50 teams vying for first place and the hopes of a big pay day. The team of Brian Ward and Tom Sokolowski from the east side of the state topped the field with a limit of Largemouth’s weighing in at over 17 ½ pounds. Their winning weight which included, 3rd place big bass was worth over $6200. Not to bad for a Saturday of fishing.

Coming in a close second and cashing a nice check for $2500 we’re local favorites Eric & Tom Jennings with 16.93 pounds. And rounding out the top 3 was the team of Brian Feutz & Jason Ammerman with a limit going 16.27 pounds and this was worth another great check of $1275. The big bass of the event was brought in by the team of Jon Olsen & Dave Curtiss with a GIANT largemouth that topped the scales at 6.37 pounds and was worth $550. Second place big bass went to the team of Lance Beard & Mike Pierce with a 5.12 largemouth that was worth $330. In total there was almost $13000 paid out at this event.
